Foundation Scholarships
The Osteopathic Foundation of West Michigan began sponsoring area high school students in 2001 by providing full ($2,000) scholarships. Since then, the Foundation has provided these scholarships to 120 students ($240,000 total), including 16 students from the 2009/10 academic year. In order to be considered for an Osteopathic Foundation scholarship, an application must be submitted.

Physician Mentoring
Following MSU's summer PREcollege Enrichment Program (PREP), the Foundation aligns each student up with an Osteopathic physician who serves as a mentor. Mentors then meet with their assigned students and serve in a role similar to a guidance counselor. Mentorship, or on-site exploration of the student's career interests, is designed to acquaint him/her with "life on the job" and to help decide if a particular career is of interest.
MSU's Extension Office - Programs & Activities
MSU’s Muskegon Extension Office monitors and assists students throughout the academic school year by coordinating meetings and activities to build upon the summer OsteoCHAMPS learning experience. Participation is a requirement. Parents/guardians and friends are more than welcome to attend!
